You are a true legend.
As a YCA member you are taking the very very serious oath to:
1) Never take yourself too seriously. Crabby old cruisers we are not.
2) Always be ready and willing to lend a hand, especially to a fellow YCA tribesperson.
3) Represent YCA and all young sailors in a positive way. We have a lot of work to do to repair the sometimes tainted ‘sailboater/ blowboater/ cruiser’ reputation many before us have created. We are thrifty, not cheap. We are partiers, not drunks. We are cruisers, not cruisers who bitch. We are wandering, not lost. We are not the first, and we will not be the last. We are the YCA
4) And most importantly, always have a beverage or a cockpit seat ready to share with the dinghy headed your way.
The ‘Happenings’ tab on youngcruisers.org will keep you in the loop on up coming events and remember… YCA is now you too… so host bar nights, a bonfire, or a party anywhere, anytime, and we’ll make sure we get it out there to the world.
