Do you have to be a sailor to join?

Absolutely not. Land lubbers, YouTube junkies, daydreamers, YachtWorld fanatics, you name it, are welcome in the YCA.  This collective is about bringing like minded, young, adventurers together. The ultimate goal is that we create a common bond… allowing for anything like cruisers having beers in the anchorage, to a ride from a YCA shoreside member to the nearest West Marine. So Sailors, powerboaters, dreamers, and shoresiders are all part of the YCA.

Anyone who didn’t wait for retirement to start living. We are all inclusive of those who said ‘fuck it’ and stepped off the yellow brick road.

Who is a Young Cruiser?

How do I join YCA?

How much does it cost to join YCA?

We know.  You are a cruiser. You are cheap. We get it. That's why membership is free.

However, the entire point of the YCA is to pull into a harbor and find peeps that you know you'll want to do things with... like grab a beer, go spearfishing, Bocce on the beach, or share legit info (not the same shit everyone else is reading in the cruising guide). That's why we offer the burgee holding membership for $50 annually. Your first year, you will receive your welcome swag box with a burgee and koozies. This level membership offers all of the perks— access to all of the parties, rallies, discounts, and YCA community support. Once we all have black burgees flying from our spreaders we will know… that boat has people just like me. Someday we’ll see these burgees at marinas, bars, shoresiders willing to give rides to the West Marine. Whoever.

Pretty much, it’s 50 bucks a year. The first year you receive a burgee and a handful of koozies (a few for your crew and some to pass to others along the way) for FREE.

Why join YCA?

If this is a question, this may not be for you.

We are a wolfpack, a squad, a positive vibes only clan. Together, we are cool, powerful, supportive. Together, cruising is better. Pulling into a harbor and having a sundowner with someone you actually want to talk to is gold. Buddy boating with another ‘young’ person(s) is double gold. Having an accessible network of YCAers around the globe is the future! This is how we find each other!
