Who We Are

Most of us swear too much, drink more rum than recommended, wake with the sunrise, and fall asleep salty.
We eat what we catch, fix what breaks, commute by dinghy, stretch provisions, soak up vitamin D like it’s medicine, and know the best nights usually start with “you guys wanna tie up?”

Some of us are raising children as world citizens.
Some of us are still trying to keep the fridge running.
All of us know that the friendships made out here can last a lifetime.

YCA was never about being the best sailor in the anchorage.
It’s not about polished boats, perfect passages, or knowing every line before you leave the dock.

It’s about the choice to go.
To leave the safe harbor.
To choose freedom over convention.
To live the adventure now, not someday.

You’re a young cruiser because of the life you chose — not the miles you’ve logged.

The Young Cruisers Association exists to fuel that fire, connect you with your people, and remind you that wherever in the world you are, the tribe is out here too.
